Currently we are supporting 2 charities - Chernobyl Children's Project and Crocus while continuing to support Combat Stress, Blythswood Care Food Bank and Shoe Box Appeal.

We continue our links with Combat Stress.

Chernobyl Children's Project UK supports children, families and young people in Belarus, the country worst affected by the 1986 Nuclear Disaster. Every summer they provide month long recuperative holidays in the UK for children from Belarus. For children who cannot come to the UK, they send volunteers out to support a holiday at a holiday camp in a clean part of Belarus in July and August. They purchase urgently needed medicines for the Children’s Cancer Hospital in Minsk and support the Children’s Hospice Movement. Crocus Group, Inverness supports bereaved children and young people in the Highlands. The death of a close friend or relative is a time of great sadness for a family. For children and young people this can be a confusing and distressing time. There may be unanswered questions about what has happened and the grief of other family members may cause added stress making it hard for the child to talk about their feelings. Crocus are there to help and support a bereaved child or young person. Further information can be found at https://highlandhospice.org/what-we-do/crocus

Combat Stress - the charity was founded after the First World War and its work is as vital today as it was in 1919. It has a caseload of over 5,400 veterans, including 662 who have served in Afghanistan. Combat Stress currently spends nearly £14 million a year delivering its unique range of specialist treatment and welfare support. Everything it does is free to the veteran.
